The following is just the main 5 aims which are some of the reason which Somali Refugees Development Association - SOMDRA - was founded .

• In common we support and educate women and refugees men by offering them Somali, English and Arabic language classes plus some basic computer Education .
• We offer handcraft, tailoring classes for refugee women and for the men a joiner and art painting classes that we will import/export in/out side Yemen for the refugee to help them selves instead of washing cars or staying house keeper or just walking around on the street without taking care of their lives or thinking of ways to improve it.

• we help the poor families such us the car-washers families and orphans to encourage them to give chance for studying and improving themselves.

• we take a full care for the children their mothers are housekeepers or go out in the morning to get their daily bread , for free of charge. We take care their children and feed them and teach them while they are away at work.

• And a very important one is that we will help old people who are beggars on the streets and have no children nor families taking a care of them. We help them by rebuilding their lives and educating them.
