"DAFI" is a UNHCR providers on a limited basis,scholerships for refugees at the tertiary level in universities and polytechnic institutions throu the Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative Fund,funding for this programme is provided by the federal Government of Germany.
The purpose of the Dafi programme is to contribute to the self-reliance of refugees by providing them with a professional qualification for future employment,preferably UNHCR would like to see the graduats return home and contribute to the reconstruction of their home country or to the development of the country of asylum or to the refugee community at large.
DAFI programmes are available in developing countries with a segnificant refugee population mostly in Africa and Asia,there are also a limited number of Dafi scholerships in some countries of Eastren Europe.each year more then 1,000 refugees students are benefiting from the programme and we are some of this lucky refugee students in this year.....
we are some of the Somali refugees in Yemen and we are all thankingfull for Dafi for this dream chance as it is our best chance during our staying in Yemen and we hope we will do some thing to all refugees around the world and our selfs.
