Mr
Isma'el Abukar is one of the Somali refugees in Yemen ,he
is the same of the other refugees left their country because
of the civil-war still going on in Somalia ,he is Married
Father of ten children "mashaa AllAhA",he come in
Yemen in April 1992,he graduated Jamal Abdi-nasser secondary
School in Mogadishu Somalia then join Lafoole University in
Mogadishu he specialized teaching as he was teacher long time
before the civil war , when the civil war happened he immigrated
to Yemen with the huge of Somali refugees in 1992 he was one
of the luckiest refugees arrived in Yemen because he brought
all his certificates with him that made him easy to become
one of the refugee teachers in the field.
In 1992 Raddar Barnen save the child Swedish
NGO decided to be one of the NGO's of refugee
helpers in the field, until now Raddar Barnen is the only
Local humanitarian organization gave chance of work to the
refugees in side the field and their project is the most success
full project in the projects running inside the refugee-camp,
mainly Raddar Barnen NGO is responsible for the Education
as they followed the refugees 14 years the same age of the
Somali refugees staying in yemen beside the Education Raddar
Barnen is managing so many use full activities inside the
camp and all the staff are refugees living in side the camp,
their policy is refugee to refugee that made their project
continuous success full and they call Refugee-Run-Education.

worked 14 years in Radda Barnen NGO until
now he is teaching the refugee children inside the field as
he spend all his time of staying in Yemen in side the field,
Raddar Barnen NGO hired him as teacher in 1992 after one year
he become deputy headmaster in 2003 the headmaster of the
school is dead and he become the headmaster of the School
in side the field as they were transferring from field to
another til they reached Al-kharaz regular refugee camp.
The columns of the primary School
The columns of the refugee primary School are 8 subjects,
which are, 4 Social histories written by Somali language,
English subject and 3 Arabic subjects but the problem was
the column was uncompleted they had only until level 5 at
the end they found solution that was ,teachers translate the
column of the international schools of 6-7-8 subjects and
completed the all column nedded in the primary School in the
Refugee camp they succeeded for that Idea because the students
graduate in high level and they set the exam with the citizen
students as their exam is checking and marks and the certificate
are coming from the ministry of Education of Yemen, then they
go to the Yemeni secondary school after universities, that
Idea worked well and refugee teachers won a win they were
not expecting 1114 students are graduated
in 7 groups until now ,620 students are male
and 494 students are female.
The
teachers:
The teachers are 22 teachers,18
teachers are men and 4 teachers are women, and two head-masters,
the conditions of being teacher in the refugee School in the
field wither the refugee graduate of secondary or university
is : they do public announcement and wrote the conditions
they want for in details and then if the refugee is found
all the requires they exam in his/her level of study, that
exam is checking the ministry of education in Yemen as well
the teacher they choose is being teach the refugee students
in the field ,three months they check his/her polite and life
style and the priority is for the poor people in the field
some how it is hidden help .
The problems can face the teachers (NGO)
The
problem is that the refugees life is not settle life , the
family took their children where ever they are going to,some
times Aden or they go back to the country with the repatriation
and the students are not students whom are ready for the study
they are always busy or some times because of the economical
problem facing to thier families the refugee student has no
suitable situation can courage his/her study may be he/she
has no think to eat or 20 persons are living in one room that
making annoy to him/her at the time of studying or some times
the parents are not encouraging the child to study and they
prefer the child to go for work for them that is caused So
many drop out then School Committee are always follow up this
problem when they studied they find that the problem is coming
from the refugees low Economy but no NGO tried to solve this
rooted problem..

That created in 1995 and responsible when
the child born until he/she become in 18 from 0-18
three Somali women are working Anisa,Layla and Haliima
there and their work is to find the handicap refugee child
until now the children are 64 deferent handicap
refugee children ,the purpose is to cabaret the kinds of disability
and give the equipment of the disability, home visiting ,they
make training for the disability children's parents ,community
integration ,inclusive Education and handicap referral awareness
the parents and the handicap child
