Hello everyone out there!

My name is Ruqia Ahmed Abokar. I am Somalian born and raised in Mogadishu. I obtained my high school diploma while I was in Somalia. I was always interested in learning more but I didn't get the opportunity because of the civil war in Somalia. After I came to Sana’a, Yemen as a refugee I took some courses about health which are,
• First aid
• Reproductive health care
• Family planning
• HIV
I also took some other courses non health’s which are.
• Leader ship with Yemen youth conference,
• French cookies
• And life experience.

While I am in Sana’a as refugees I have got opportunity to learn again, Thanks to DAFI. I'm one of the urban refugees in Sana’a Yemen who studying Aptech certified computer provisional program in second year and first year of multimedia. Also I can speak, read and write Somalian Language, Arabic Language and English.

• When it comes work I am workaholic I used to work a lot of different odd jobs such as, baby-sitter, cashier, Entertainment coordinator and my last job in this moment is my provisional coffee- maker in Investment Company. But what my future holds Allah knows.

on the other hand I didn't forget to build my future to study well and help my self, my Parents and my people although that took a long time "and always was a slave of hope, there was a time about three years I work with "PAD” partners for development, as a volunteer with refugees contained, Somalia, Ethiopian and Sudanese and few other nationalities to participate refugees activity in refugee community center and to share with their happiness and sadness which make me easy to Create this site today, this is my first project, it is a feeling I liked to share with you all the refugees around the world especially people from my country, for the love those whom we have lost.

It is too hard to be refugee!!! only at the beginning, because every difficult is giving very hard time when it is first time to face, meanwhile we use to be familiar and learn from allot which makes our life easy and understandable life, to day life’s difficulties getting more and more and faces to every body refugee or NOT refugee person, people all around the world with deferent faces no body is satisfy enough today, because we are human, and human satisfy only inside the grave, there is only place we can get rest self and long sleep with guarantee peace.......

I liked to share my first project with my people whom are suffering every where in all around the world and like to be a volunteer again because of them, this is smallest thing I can do for them.
In other hand I liked to clarify the people knows no thing about Somalia or it is refugees living in Yemen to know more about them, because I have been questioned many strange questions, or some times hear untrue stories about Somali refugees in Yemen, there I get that the people have no more idea about this refugees and their activity in Yemen, and it was my vision to write a history book about them as I did before' many years ago when I wrote teenager refugees daily life around 1995,and many of children stories’ but this time "DAFi made that long way short and gave me this chance” here I'm doing my mission constructing a website about them in the modern language that understands a people in every where, in any time and forever. Thanks "DAFI".

Although I have 13 years experience of being refugee instant that was not enough to create this site today, sure this happened with help from this huge refugees living in Yemen as well Somalian embassy, from my heart I'm thanking for them and saying to them stay fore me and I will stay fore you..
